Apply to Become a Joint Hirer
To become a joint hirer, the following information must be true:
- Both you and the main hirer must have valid photo ID (in date UK Driving Licence and/or UK Passport)
- At least one hirer must have a full UK Driving Licence
- Both you and the main hirer must live at the same address

As a prospective Joint Hirer it is important that you are aware of the regulated details prior to applying. By becoming a Joint Hirer, you will share legal responsibility to the finance agreement alongside the main hirer. This includes adhering to all terms and conditions outlined in the agreement, including payment schedules and obligations. As part of the application process the finance company will conduct a credit search.
Additionally, you should understand that any changes made to the finance agreement, such as alterations to repayment schedules or adjustments to the contract, must be agreed by both the Main Hirer and the Joint Hirer. In the event of default or non-payment, both the Main Hirer and the Joint Hirer’s credit histories could be affected and the lender may take actions to recover any outstanding amount and/or debt. Prior to completing any agreement as a Joint Hirer it is important that you thoroughly review the terms of the agreement to ensure you have a clear understanding of your legal and/or financial responsibilities.
